Land of Air-Shows and Orange Water
Nicole and I left Calgary earlier today for a few days in Montana. We’re taking a short vacation to see some sights, do some hikes, and take lots of photos.
We made it to Lethbridge tonight, but because of an air show (that neither of us knew about until today), we had a little trouble finding a place to sleep for the night. After being told there was no vacancy at several hotels and motels, we stumbled upon our last resort and only option: El Rancho Motor Inn.

It’s definitely in the single-star rating range.
First off, there’s an odor here. A mix of strange, decaying foods and stale cigarette smoke. The elevator is fear-inducing, since it cuts its power to stop at the desired floor. The best (worst?) part is that tap water. I can safely say that I’ve travelled in some developing countries that have better tap water than here. Tap water should not be orange.
Thankfully, we move on to Montana tomorrow.
