The Titan Trek

My friends, I have devised a new definition of pain and sorrow in the name of sport and fitness. If you’re interested in attempting it yourself, please hurry to the Reservoir before the water comes back in.

Introducing The Titan Trek.

The challenge is to walk from the path east of the rowing club, all the way to the Glenmore Causeway and back without swimming, rowing, or hailing boat patrol for assistance.

Be prepared to walk most of the way barefoot, as it’s too muddy for shoes. I abandoned my shoes on the shore after a solid 20 minutes of getting them stuck with every step.

It took Stacey and I two hours to complete. We didn’t think it would take so long or be so difficult. It’s a deceptive distance, looking like it would only be 30 minutes or so, but no. Impossible!

I must say that with all the mud, sand, and sharp stones, my feet are feeling really smooth and wonderfully conditioned right now. It was a very painful, long pedicure!
